In my opinion, the PLAYSTATION 3 is the best console out there. It is the third console in Sony’s Playstation series, the second being the bestselling console of all time, the PS2.
Why you should buy a PS3
- Blu-ray
The PS3 is currently one of the cheapest and best Blu-ray player on the
market today. Blu-ray has over 50 gigs on one disc, and has one the
format war. Blur-ray is the next DVD. Also, Blu-ray can hold so much
that games can be larger and more deep experience
- Games
Okay, okay. One of my reasons is games?!? You’d be suprised. The only
high profile Xbox 360 exclusive this year is Gears of War 2. The PS3 on
the other hand has Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2,
Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM Confrontation, and numerous others
- Hardware
The Playstation 3 undoubtidly has the best hardware of any video game
console to date. It’s main feture is the Cell processing chip from IBM,
which is one of the most advanced processing chips to date.
- PSN
The PSN (PlayStation Network) is the PS3′s answer to Xbox Live, except
PSN is free. It is also more open to third party developers
- Reliability
Why you shouldn’t buy a PS3
- Small selection of games as of now
- PSN is not as large as Xbox LIVE
- Because you don’t want to

First off, the Xbox 360 is not the best console ever, not even the best console of the current generation. The Xbox 360 is the child of Microsoft, and spawn of the first Xbox, which lost misrably to the PS2 in the last console war. It was released in 2005, a full year before the PS3 and Wii, to give it an adavntage over the other two consoles. That strategy worked, but it meant the Xbox 360 was rushed. The hardware was quickly thrown together, resulting in a faliure rate unthinkably high. One in every three Xbox 360s gets the Red Ring of Death, or better know as RROD. The 360 breaks a lot, right? So, I can just send it back and get it repiared, right? Wrong! If you want to take the chance of sending the Xbox 360 back to Microsoft, be my guest. But, they don’t replace your Xbox 360. They take about 3 to 4 months to fix it, and send it back. If they can’t fix it, they send you another fixed Xbox 360, not a new one. That sucks, right? But what else can be that bad? Xbox Live! What, Xbox Live? That’s the best online service ever! Wrong! First of all, Live costs $50 a year! $50!
Why you should buy an Xbox 360:
- Great selection of games
- Very comfy controller
- Xbox LIVE
- Games in Full HD
Why you shouldn’t buy an Xbox 360:
- Xbox LIVE is $50 a year
- No or small hard drive
- Unreliable
- Terrible customer support
